Registration Form on Environment Impacts by Constructional Projects

Procedures of assessment on environmental impacts by constructional projects are exercised in this country in accordance with regulations specified in the LAW OF ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA and the ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATIONS ON ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION FOR CONSTRUCTIONAL PROJECTS issued by the State Council.
The state authorities exercise categorized administration over the environment protection of the constructional projects in accordance with the level of environmental impacts by these projects and in compliance with the following regulations. There are three types of application and approval procedures for the constructional projects that have environment impacts:
1.The projects which may cause serious environmental impacts should work out the environmental impacts reports to assess the contaminants generated by the project and the environmental impacts involved in a comprehensive and detailed way;
2.The projects which may cause slight environmental impacts should work out the environmental impacts statements to analyze the contaminants generated by the project and the environmental impacts involved or to make assessment on specific items;
3.The projects which may cause negligible environmental impacts should work out the environmental impacts statements without the need to make assessment on environment impacts.

II. Before download the forms or sheets, please refer to the DIRECTORY OF CATEGORIZED MANAGEMENT ON ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION FOR CONSTRUCTIONAL PROJECTS (first list) to make sure of the approach for application.
1.If it is confirmed that the constructional project fall into the category that needs the registration form on environmental impacts, make the downloading accordingly.
2.If it is confirmed that the constructional project fall into the category that needs the preparation of reports or statements on environmental impacts, it is needed to authorize an assessing organization with related qualification certification status to work out the reports or statements on the environment impacts.
3.In the case that the constructional project is not listed in the DIRECTORY OF CATEGORIZED MANAGEMENT ON ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION FOR CONSTRUCTIONAL PROJECTS (first list), the application should be made by the constructional project owner to the environment protection authority, who will make a written confirmation on the examination and approval of the project involved.
III. Please refer to the "Guide to Examination & Approval for Environmental Impacts of Constructional Projects" for the details of the application and approval procedures.
IV. Please make sure that the application form is in strict accordance with the DIRECTORY OF CATEGORIZED MANAGEMENT ON ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION FOR CONSTRUCTIONAL PROJECTS (first list). If not, the environment protection authority will not accept the application.
