I. The owner of the vehicle with excessive exhausts shall at his own expense bring the vehicle to the maintenance shop for repairs and adjustments, and pay for the forfeited fine at the bank. After that, the vehicle owner shall take the vehicle to the re-inspection station appointed by the environment protection authority for inspections and tests by presenting the LETTER OF NOTIFICATION FOR RECTIFICATION ON EXCESSIVE DISCHARGE OF AIR POLLUTANTS BY MOTORIZED VEHICLES IN ZHUHAI (or simplified as the LETTER OF NOTIFICATION).
II. When the vehicle is driven into the re-inspection station, the owner of the vehicle shall present the LETTER OF NOTIFICATION, and the staff persons from the environment protection departments will make the re-inspections accordingly. The electronic display screen will demonstrate the result of the inspections and tests, and the vehicle owner may have a look at the test data at the testing devices.
III. After it is confirmed that the vehicle meets the qualification specifications, the staff persons from the environment protection department will make due registrations and sign on the LETTER OF NOTIFICATION, which is then handed back to the vehicle owner.
IV. The vehicle owner goes to the traffic police station to get back his license and some other certificate papers by presenting the signed LETTER OF NOTIFICATION and the police ticket to the police office.
V. In the case that the vehicle fails to pass the qualification specifications in the re-inspection, it has to undergo the rectification process again.
