Environment Protection Bureau Information
Center was founded in August of 2000
(its predecessor being the Computer Office).
The Center is under the administration of
technical professionals with special expertise.
Various other offices or sections have part-time
staff persons taking charge of information
collection and management so that a comprehensive
network of information personnel is formed
at various levels. |
Major
staff persons in the Information Center:
Huang Hanpeng:
University graduate, Microsoft global certification
system engineer (MCSA, MCSE, MCDBA), CISCO
global certification system engineer (CCNA),
senior net manager acknowledged by the Ministry
of Labor; awarded 3rd prize of 1998 Guangdong
Province Environment Protection Technologies;
one of the ten young pacesetters in science
& technology field in Zhuhai for the year
of 1999; engaged in computer information management
since 1995.
Gu Yan: University graduate in the specialty
of computer technology and application; Microsoft
global certification system engineer (MCSE,
MCDBA), engaged in office information management
since 1998.
The part-time staff
persons in various offices or sections are
responsible for the collection of the information
related with their own offices or sections.
The collected information is handed over to
the Information Center, which will categorize
and arrange the information and data for file
keeping. The library takes care of the files,
and of the filing keeping of book information.
The information management office is responsible
for the information management of the computer
system of the EPB as well as the training
programs on computers. |
Main facilities and
apparatuses in the Center are those supplied
in the "Japanese Air Program", including:
Servers, graphic working stations, network
printers, scanners, projectors, plotting instrument,
digitalization device. |

The
Center has played a significant role in promoting
the development of the environment protection
career of Zhuhai, especially in enhancing
the creation and building up of Zhuhai into
a model city in the country in environment
protection. The major
tasks and missions that the Center has undertaken
and fulfilled include:
1. 1995-1998, "Zhuhai
Environment Protection Comprehensive Information
Network Management System";
2. 1997, "Zhuhai
Environment Protection Comprehensive Information
Display System" (this project was awarded
the 3rd prize of 1998 Guangdong Province Environment
Protection Progress Award);
3. 1997, environment
protection information display screen at Yingbing
Blvd, Gongbei, Zhuhai
4. 1998, "Green
Pearl-Environment Protection in Zhuhai",
an Internet/Intranet website of Zhuhai EPB;
5. 1999, multi-media
studio system for demonstration of "Dual
Qualification Certification" in environment
protection in Zhuhai;
6. 2000, environment
protection information display screen at Jiuzhou
Avenue, Jida, Zhuhai;
7. 2001-2002, "integrated
package" hardware system and "integrated
station" office system for Zhuhai environment
protection system. |
