The "Environment
Protection Information Multi-Purpose Display
Screen" is planned and developed
by Zhuhai EPB Information Center, with the
joint efforts of Zhuhai SEZ Jinfeng Electronics
Co. Ltd that undertook the technical designing
and construction. The project was awarded
the 3rd prize of 1998 Guangdong Province Environment
Protection Progress Awards. This system features
unique designing concepts and creative innovations
in the core technologies, performances and
appearance, which makes it to be in the leading
position among the domestic similar products.
The system may be said to be the first set
of multi-purpose display screen in this country
for environment protection information demonstration.
Its social and environmental benefits are
unanimously acknowledged by the general public
as well as by the leaders of the municipality,
of the provincial environment protection authorities
and of the state environment protection authorities.

The "Environment
Protection Information Multi-Purpose Display
Screen" was the main part of
the 2nd phase project of the "Zhuhai
Environment Protection Comprehensive Information
Network Management System", one of the
key brainstorm projects in Zhuhai for the
year of 1996. The system belongs to the foreign
information exchange network, composed of
three display screens erected at different
locations. The first screen was erected at
the thoroughfare of Yinbing Avenue in Gongbei,
and was put into operation on the evening
of June 30 of 1997, the eve of the handover
of Hongkong. On August 7 of 1998, 500 days
before the handover of Macao, the screen began
to "count down". The second and
third screen were erected at the crossroads
of Jiuzhou Blvd and Jingshan Road, which were
put into operation on September 30 of 2000.

· Three-dimensional
animation
The graphic display screen is able to show
256 gradation dual base color, to demonstrate
the colored contents for publication.
· Air pollution index
The parameter display screen is used to publicize
the air pollution index.
· Noise indications
The parameter display screen shows the noise
levels collected locally.
· Environment protection
propagation for public benefits
Lighted
bulletin boards are used to poster the fixed
propagation slogans and advertisement of environment
protection contents for public benefits.
· Fully automatic controls
Programs or instructions are used to exercise
switch controls, enabling the automatic control
of the display screen, the ventilation fan,
the lighted bulletin boards and some other
components.
· Remote control
The control center (EPB Information Center)
exercises either cabled or wireless control
over the display screen for the collection
of real-time data, all performance remote
control, publication of information contents,
switches of the screen, switches of the lighted
bulletin boards and the remote monitoring
and controls, etc.
· Multi-purpose data
collection and processing
There are eight high-speed
and high-precision channels for data collection
and processing, which enables the real time
collection and processing of as many as eight
environmental parameters. The system features
a strong capacity for function expansion. |
