To draft the comprehensive
rules, regulations and regulatory documents
concerning environment protection; to exercise
due administrative authorities and law enforcement
duties; to organize investigations into some
significant issues involved in environment
protection and to assist in seeking solutions;
to be responsible for the propagation, education
and popularization on laws and decrees related
to environment protection; to handle the motions,
proposals and suggestions raised at the local
people’s congress and political consultation
conference; to handle the administrative punishments,
reconsiderations, hearings and responses to
appeals, and administrative executions; to
take part in the investigation and solution
of issued involving environmental pollution
or ecological damages.
